About Friends With Benedicts

Friends With Benedicts is a unique pop-up brunch adventure that began in San Francisco, California, in 2015. Most recently hosted at Mayes Oyster House, we’ve now found our new home at the historic San Francisco Elks Lodge No. 3, located at 450 Post Street on the 3rd floor. Join us every Sunday from 10 am to 2:30 pm for an unforgettable brunch experience!

Our Story
From our humble beginnings in an old Tenderloin Greek restaurant, we set out to disrupt the local brunch scene with themed brunches inspired by Star Wars, Game of Thrones, The Simpsons, and more. With over 120 unique menus crafted by our team of local stand-up comedians and some of San Francisco’s most experienced line cooks, we’ve kept our creativity alive and thriving. Due to high demand, some of our events have expanded to month-long themes. During the winter months, we offer a regular brunch menu featuring the year's best items, allowing us to recharge and gather inspiration from movies and TV shows.

About Our New Venue
San Francisco Elks Lodge No. 3 is not just any building; it's a historic treasure in Union Square. Built in 1924 by renowned architects F.H. Meyer and A.R. Johnson, this Spanish Gothic building has been a significant part of the city's landscape for almost a century. Initially exclusive to the Elks, it now coexists with the Kensington Park Hotel and other esteemed establishments. The Lodge boasts a grand ballroom, intricately painted ceiling panels, period chandeliers, and stunning views of Union Square through its 15-foot windows. The venue is a blend of history and elegance, making it the perfect setting for our brunch adventures.
The Elks Lodge has a rich history dating back to 1873, and it is the oldest continuously operating Elks Lodge in the world. Throughout the years, the Elks have contributed significantly to the community, including setting up relief efforts during the 1906 earthquake. Today, the Lodge continues to uphold the principles of Charity, Justice, Brotherly Love, and Fidelity.
Come join us for a traditional breakfast or try our creative dishes designed for the adventurous palate. Whether you're a brunch enthusiast or just looking for a fun and delicious way to spend your Sunday, Friends With Benedicts at the San Francisco Elks Lodge No. 3 is the place to be!
